Abstract

The general objective is to initiate the student body into university extension projects, enabling them to engage in scientific exploration, critical and explorative construction, and awakening the analytical sense of Law students, in accordance with one of the pedagogical proposals established by Resolution No. 5 of December 17, 2018. Another pedagogical proposal pursued by this project was and still is the construction of knowledge and its sharing not only with the academic community, but above all with civil society. In this sense, teachers and students jointly built knowledge and developed skills in analyzing, evaluating, verifying and explaining bibliographic data related to the proposed theme, in a critical and pragmatic way in relation to the legal system and the individual, and from there they had knowledge and subsidies for giving lectures and guidance to civil society, making indirect methodological material. In the end, they had a solid archetype of study and enough practical experience to write a scientific article highlighting the importance of consumer protection and the possibility of seeking compensation in cases where these rights are violated, including the possibility of reparations for moral damages. The scientific contribution sought was to disseminate the knowledge needed to exercise citizenship and the results obtained were extremely important for consolidating the proposal, since the students and teachers were welcomed and welcomed by civil society, which was very interested, questioned and participated in the methodological practices involved.
